The Israeli military’s Southern Command has decided to launch an investigation into the recent attacks in Gaza that targeted children being treated at a hospital in Khan Yunis.
Nine children were killed in the attack, all children of the same man, a doctor.
The investigation team also includes a senior officer holding the rank of brigadier general. The Israeli military claims that prior to the attack, it conducted a close surveillance operation on Hamas fighters who were sick at the hospital.
The Israeli military’s legal advisors approved the attack, and other military officers confirmed it. International media reports that the children’s mother was present when the attack took place, while her husband remained at home. Israel claims it would not have hesitated to shoot these Hamas fighters because it had been closely monitoring them for a long time, knowing where they came from and where they were going.
After realizing that the right moment to shoot them had arrived, the decision was made to fire there, and the bomb exploded, killing them. However, an investigation has been launched to determine whether any errors were made in all this.
